Hello everyone!
How are you??
I'll try to explain all the feelings in my heart right now...it'll be hard though haha. If you could only read my mind:)
But this week has been one of my favorite weeks in my entire mission. There just seemed to be a special spirit every day. I've been trying to focus my studies on the Savior, and I love Him with all my heart. There is not better person to look to than to Him:) So seek Him. Do everything you can do learn about Him- how He taught, lived, served..you can never learn 'too much',
One Saturday, Sister Anicia was baptized. Not that I'm comparing or choosing, but this was my favorite baptism that we've had. It was so special. She is so special. One of the challenges here in Baler is working with the members because they are always really busy- and so while we've been teaching her these last few months, it's only been us the missionaries for the most part. Of and of course we're only there for minutes of the day. So her entire conversion has very much been a personal thing between her and the Lord, and I am so grateful for that. The other day she told us about another religion that has been coming to her house for over a year to teach her, but that she's chosen this Church. She said "It's not because of you (the missionaries), they're friendly too, but it's because of the Lord." That's the best thing to hear as a missionary!
So then when it came Saturday, we wanted a lot of members to come for her baptism to support her, but only 3 came...but you know what? It was the perfect compliment to Sister Anicia and everything that she is and everthing she's worked for for her testimony. Even if there were only a few to witness it, you could tell very much that she was only there for God. She is so pure. So precious and special. I love her so much and the spirit was so strong. We were waiting by the font as she came out of the water, and I felt like the Spirit just told me that "Sister Allen, you've done it. You did what I sent you to do here." It's hard to explain and every personal, but I'm so grateful for the love Heavenly Father showed to Sister Anicia and to me that day. I know with all my heart that this is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ:)
Thank you for all your prayers in our behalf, and for Sister Anicia. She is a chosen daughter of God and I know that the heavens are singing for her and her family:)
Love you all!!
Sister Allen:)
