Week 33
Hello everyone!!!
How are you??? I hope you're all happy because guess what?? This life is awesome:) And YOU have a Heavenly Father and a Savior that loves you beyond anything you can even imagine. And even if life is hard, the Atonement will make up for it in the end, even if you can't see the end right now. So just hold on:)
This week went by so fast! it was a little stressfull, I won't go into details, but I'll admit it was a little tough for me. But there's a song that I listen to over and over in our apartment, it's called "Blessed Be His Name". Sorry I tried to find a link for it on the church websites and couldn't, so just search for it on Youtube or something. But I've been listening to it over and over, and it's helped me get over some tough moments this week. I know that I have so many weaknesses, and sometimes things don't seem fair, but as long as I can say "Blessed be the names of my God and my Savior", that is enough for me. We won't always see the results of our works, and sometimes we will never receive thanks for our efforts, but again, just hold on and praise God for His goodness.
We also had a lesson with Brother Ron yesterday. His wife is the Relief Society president in our ward, and his two sons are really really active, but he's not a member (yet!). Missionaries have taught him in the past, with little results, but we started teaching him again a couple months ago. The process is a little slow, but sobrang maganda! He's come to church now like 7 times in a row, and yesterday, we followed up on his Book of Mormon reading and he told us all about Lehi's dream. He loved it and understood it so well, and had we taught our lesson about faith, he kept bringing up Lehi's dream and how it applies to faith. So while progress is just step by step, at least he's moving! I was so incredibly grateful for that lesson and the spirit we felt then. I think I learned more from him and the spirit than he learned from us!
I wish I could fully descirbe the feeling of gratitude in my heart right now. I know God lives. I know that this is the way to eternal happiness and exaltation. I also know that things can be really hard sometimes. Sometimes you feel alone, or so incredibly imperfect, or not pretty, or unthanked, but don't let those feelings get to you. Just remember that God sent us a Redeemer, even Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and to make the way for us to return to live with Them again. He is the way, the truth, and the light. So no matter our weaknessess or heartaches or trials, BLESSED BE HIS NAME.
I love my Savior. I love you, and the greatest of all, HE loves you. So just hold on.
Thank you for your prayers and emails, I hope for you all the happiness in this life, because even when life is hard, it's still so beautiful!!
